The first end was a small mark.
It made the work look near.

A join appeared.
The mark moved to make room.

The old mark stayed.

Another join appeared where the old mark had been.
The end moved again.

Several places were now called finished.
None could contain what had happened.

When the work stopped changing,
the marks still disagreed.
